Tablescape Thursday: Tablescape Recollections
I'm joining Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to visit her blog and check out all of the beautiful tablescapes. It's always filled with such wonderful inspiration and eye candy! I'm kind of at a stand still right now in designing tables. I guess I have "tablescape block" just as an author would have "writer's block." So today, I've decided to show six of my past tablescapes. These are some of my favorites. Be sure to come back next Thursday for a brand new tablescape, all decked out and set for Thanksgiving!

Next, we have a table perfect for any hot summer day. Watermelon is a great summertime treat that's bound to cool you down and bring a big, sweet, syrupy smile to your face.
Then, I've set a table for a garden party in shades of blue and yellow. This is one of my favorite color combinations.
One of my all-time favorite tables was the one I set for the 4th of July. I just walked around my home searching for red, white, or blue items. When paired all together, I thought it turned out great.
Once again, I've used that famous color combo of yellow and blue. The hydrangeas came from a neighbor's bush. Aren't they beautiful? I've used more transferware here, but this time it's blue. Do you see the little bunny peeking around too?
Finally, is one of my more recent tablescapes. I set my dining room table like this for part of September and October. The pumpkins and leaves are terrific for fall, and I think the candles add the perfect ambiance.
Thanks so much for joining me today as I recollect some of my favorite past tables. Which one is your favorite? Don't forget to come back next Thursday for a Thanksgiving Tablescape. Also, I'm participating in "Sharing Thanksgiving" over at the Bunnies' Bungalow on November 17. Thank you for visiting and happy Tablescape Thursday to you!

Oh they are all so lovely. I don't think I have a favorite. Each one is so different and so well done. Thanks for letting us see them again. I really enjoyed it. Hugs, Marty
Kathryn, I am so glad you posted this. I am relatively new to blogging and I haven't seen any of these tablescapes before. It is a tablescape smorgasbord! Every table is beautiful and so much fun to look at every detail!!!!! Thanks. You have put all of them together so skillfully- lovely!

By the way- I love your blog name. It is a wonderful thing to be a bonafide southerner! A high goal to obtain. I am not southern, but one of the best compliments I was ever given was when someone asked me what part of the south I was from- they said I just had that southern flair. I just about passed out from joy! Well, fiddledeedee!
love all the settings, i think maybe the forth of july one could be my favorite, I am gonna go back and look again, love them all
Very pretty - all of them. Thanks for sharing.
Carol
They are all very lovely but if I have to choose, my favorite is the blue and yellow garden party table.
They are all so pretty and different. I think I like the 4th of July the best!
Nice to go back and re-visit your lovely pictures. Your new "look" for November is fun! With our forecast for snow, I'm liking the summertime watermelon tonight. Isn't is odd how we always seem to want what isn't available? :)
Well you certainly have picked some of my favorite dishes.... I think I love the 4th of July table the best! : )

I always love your tablescapes, Kathryn, and everything else you do, too! I still can't believe that you have so much talent!
I loved reading about your mom and I having similar weddings. Imagine serving Hawaiian punch at a wedding reception today! I probably would do things differently now, but I wouldn't have changed a thing on that wonderful day that we married...it was just as it should have been, and I'm sure your mom feels exactly the same way!
God bless,
Mary
